Why I love My Significant Other Reason Number 2,487
...that she'll buy me a flask from Wilson's Leather for no good reason*, simply because I want one.

Yes, I suppose this means I'm back. There have been multiple reasons, good ones, for my (lengthy) absence, but simply by typing this I'm recommitting myself to the process that is journaling on routine basis. My apologies to all that have attempted to reach me and failed (I last checked the e-mail account linked to this a few months after the beginning of my "break", well beyond the point where they deleted my e-mail due to my absence) - again, my error and if was something important which can be remembered months later, by all means resend.

Things will be explained, both good and bad incidences recalled, and future progress shown in a variety of forms. Many of these have already been written, which only the desire to be posted needed. What I will disclose in this message, is that things are good with the potential to become magnificent. I'm sure everyone's waiting with bated breath for *these*. ;-)

I've also succumb to the popularity contest that is MySpace.com, but mostly for the free full-song hosting I couldn't support otherwise... mostly.

...one question, however - does anyone know of a LJ client that supports the new Intel-based MacBook Pro laptops? Papa's got a brand new bag. :D

*This of course means several reason, one of which is that I'm been hemming and hawing for a flask for several months, despite any practical need for one. I like the notion of owning a flask much more than the realistic usage of one, methinks.

Edit: Contact at livejournalian@hotmail.com has been reactivated and should be working now.

Hear? Talk? Type? Interface! Yeah, that's the ticket.

I'll have you know that my Skary shirt was worn at both my third NIN show of the tour (I've got one more upcoming on the summer leg) as well as at my first solo bass performance!* That's how high you rank. :D

*But that's getting ahead of myself. Small quantities of info, people. ;)

I swear - I should be done transferring all my info from teh old horse-drawn PC to the new hotness. And by "important" I mean my mp3s. Until then it feels like I'm not fully there.

...and comments like those make me want to make reservations right-the-fuck-now! :D

(Maybe even a phone call? Losta stuff unmentionable in a comment - no, I'm not dying - that would be better as a conversation with back-and-forth. Consider it, it'll be on me)

Wait, what? You dying would be better as a conversation with back-and-forth?

Yeah, I think it's time for sleep. We should talk, though. I don't fear the long-distance reaper, and it'll only take me a minute or two to get over phoneshyness. Let's make a date, then.

Oy... just making sure it wasn't taken as "Why does he want to call? That's a first... something must be wrong" that women always have...

Umm, why is this shovel in my hand, and the hole I'm in deepening? ;-)

Phoneshyness is on both ends (I tend to stare at the digits for a few minutes before actual depressing them) but they indeed leave quickly. Besides, you've already called me asking where my ass was on 28th and that you were hungry. ;-) Set a time - I'm sure your schedule is better to work around than mine, unless you want to talk before noon, and same numbers? If not drop me an e-mail.

I believe I "left" before I mentioned this, and it certainly deserves public attention: I not only listened to the Choir mp3s, but they' permanently reside in iTunes. Bravo, honey.

And yes, sleep... or at least a movie on the couch calls. I've started to spell-check "I", and that's never a good sign.

I wish you could have seen the double take I just made when I reloaded ye olde friends page and saw that familiar icon. (Of course, had you actually been here, chances are I would have noticed that you were typing up an entry and I probably would have only er...single taked, but whatever.)

My breath? Completed bated, especially after seeing mentions of magnificence. My inexcusable suckitude at keeping in touch so far this year makes it only moreso. If you're going to be around here, I'll have less cause to apologize profusely for my long, unintended incommunicado periods, since my LJ addiction means this place is always a good place to catch me babbling. Sort of like I am now.

To sum up: yay. Also, ::hugs::.

Keever double-takes are classic, like bagel sandwiches in nice Fall weather. :D The suckitude has been more "fate" than anything else, and the magnificence? Only if doing what I do best counts.

...okay, second or third. Let's keep the naughty bits out of the ranking system.

Yay! as well, and perhaps a phone call with you for the same reasons stated above and issues unstated? (I'm not just lovin' up the New Yorkers, I swear).

::hugs:: A lot, you know. Sorry about the cracked rib.

October 17th, which means... dammit, one day past exactly six months. Grr.

New job, new boy, new hamster

Seconded. Those are all better things to have upgraded to.

Welcome back... how ARE you!

Any OSX LJ Clients should work. Rosetta, dude. :D

Personally, I use Deepest Sender, which is a Firefox plugin. Then again, with Safari I don't know if I will still be using Firefox.

Drew's cousin is using Xjournal, I'll poke around with some of the clients in a week or two when my Mac comes in...

I use WordPress to do my LJ posting for me. :) But that's more syndication than anything else, really. It would be ideal if I could just sync my LJ to grab everything right off my website, comments and all. But that's a degree of integration that they just don't want to offer for some reason. :)

Xjournal lists on their website that it's a two-year-old version.

I'm trying to avoid any Rosetta usage, for reasons I have no idea why. Right now I'm using a decent Widget on found on Apple.com, but it's severely lacking in automated html functioning my old semagic client had in spades, but I'm sure doesn't bother you much.

Me? I more of a "Now, what comes after '<' again?"
